Working with Parents

At Tír na nÓg Montessori we implement a curriculum that reflects each child’s identity, ability and interest. It is therefore very important to us to work very closely with parents. Knowing that parents are the primary carers and educators it is essential that we build a trusting relationship to allow parents the opportunity to enrich their children’s learning and development.

Communication

This year we will communicate with our families via the the Mosaic Family App !

Each child will have their own unique and secure profile, gallery and tailored record of learning.

Best of all you can look forward to more frequent updates on your child's learning experiences, sent in real time.

Within the app we will also send updates about upcoming events and distribute important messages.

We encourage families to regularly send in important information about their child's interests, family events and home experiences. Monthly notes will also be sent out. We also encourage families to send in family photos to be displayed in the classroom throughout the year. We welcome your comments and suggestions.

The preschools policies and procedures have been developed to comply with current legislation, national guidelines and relevant childcare research, including, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Children First Act 2015, the Equal Status Act 2000 (Revised 2018), the Childcare Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, the Data Protection Act 1988 and 2003, Protections for Persons Reporting Child Abuse 1996, the National Vetting Bureau Act 2012 and the Children Act 2001. Policies are available in our reception area at all times and some policies will also be available in this section of the website.
