A Portrait of Early Learning
This year we will debut a new way to communicate with our families, the Mosaic Family App !
Last year due to Covid restrictions parents were unable to access our reception notice board and we had to limit items sent in from home or out from the preschool. So this year we are putting measures in place to ensure that we can continue to communicate and share information safely and easily.
Each child will have their own unique and secure profile, gallery and tailored record of learning.
Best of all you can look forward to more frequent updates on your child's learning experiences, sent in real time.
Within the app we will also send updates about upcoming events and distribute important messages.
We encourage families to regularly send in important information about their child's interests, family events and home experiences. Monthly notes will also be sent out. We also encourage families to send in family photos to be displayed in the classroom throughout the year. We welcome your comments and suggestions.

Dunleer Montessori School Tír na nÓg was established in 1992 by Maria McDonald.
The preschool is a prepared environment catering for children aged 2-6 years. We value every child as an individual and we recognize the value of working with parents.
Our classroom is fully equipped with a wide range of Montessori materials, which are complimented by open ended play areas such as our lovely theater.
Our Preschool
Tir na nÓg Dunleer Montessori is a sessional service which provides a prepared environment catering for up to 22 children. We appreciate every child as an individual and we encourage an atmosphere of cooperation and respect whereby children of all abilities can meaningfully participate in all aspects of the curriculum. Our service implements an emergent and enquiry-based curriculum using the Montessori Method of Education and the Aistear Early Childhood Curriculum Framework.

Outdoor Space
Our outdoor space is set in a mature garden, with plenty of trees and plants. We have a large safety surface area with tricycles, scooters, toy cars and swings. As well as a large natural area, laid with bark chip, housing a huge sandpit, wooden jeep, water play chutes and mud kitchen. There are also plenty of areas for planting, observing nature, small world play and a grassy area to play on.
